Mould Assessment (to delete)

Your Aytrium consultant will investigate your mould and water damaged property considering even the smallest of details. We use several techniques and methods to do this.

This includes:

  • Sensory analysis – visual & scent
  • Moisture assessment on affected areas
  • Airbourne & surface sampling analysed by a NATA accredited lab
  • Determine extent of damage and contamination
  • Indoor air quality analysis
  • Detailed report and documentation on the findings above
  • Recommendations on cleaning and remediation strategies if required
  • Referral to an IICRC water damaged building and mould contamination remediator
  • Finally, if works are deemed successful a clearance certificate or post remediation evaluation certificate will be issued.

Mould Inspection

When conducting a mould investigation assessment Aytrium has four main aims:

  1. Identifying the moisture source. This is considered the most effective step when dealing with a water damaged building (WDB), along with eliminating mould growth. Your highly trained Aytrium consultant will assess the nature of the job and use a range of equipment such as moisture meters and thermal image screening to identify any areas of concern.
  2. Determine the magnitude and potential spread of mould contamination from the considered original source. Our expert Aytrium consultants have in depth knowledge and ability to not only visually identify mould, though also skilled to use technical equipment such as bio-pumps for sampling airbourne mould spores and bio-tapes to sample surface-based mould contamination.
  3. Establish air movements & flow creating air pathways in which mould spores can be transported around the building from original source. Your highly trained Aytrium consultant will identify these air pathways which are commonly due to the likes of vacuums, exhaust fans, air conditioning, and other HVAC systems. Your consultant will also determine if these appliances will need to be sampled and if further action may need to be carried out.
  4. Provide functional and effective recommendations to return your structure to the condition it was before damaged. We are leading industry experts; we give leading industry recommendations. Aytrium will focus on returning your house or structure to pre-contamination and water damaged condition. We make our recommendations aligning with the standards set by the Institution of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). The IICRC are seen as global best practice when it comes to remediation methodology, procedure, and guidelines. We only recommend IICRC certified remediators to get the job done.

Mould clearance assessment certificate

Post remediation evaluation is essential once remediation works have been completed. If remediation has not been successful nor have remediation works followed the appropriate recommendations, the works itself is a waste of time and money, no solution has been gained.

This more importantly leaves this area of concern still a potential hazard to your health.

We will carry our assessment based on the previous mould investigation, recommendations, remediation strategy performed, and post evaluation assessment.

Your Aytrium consultant will:

  • Conduct airbourne sampling
  • Moisture assessment to affected area
  • Assessment of gases (carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide), humidity, & temperature
  • Visual & scent analysis
  • Detailed report & clearance assessment certificate issued based on the above factors

We will determine if remediation has been carried out correctly and if the indoor environment is safe to re-oocupy!
